For fiber and telecom design firms

Fiber and telecom design work: subcontracts and teaming, not direct contracts

Counting open contracts…

Here's the honest truth most sites won't tell you: federal fiber design almost never posts as a standalone contract. When a prime wins a broadband build, it needs a fiber/OSP design and engineering partner — so the design work rides in as a SUBCONTRACT or a TEAMING opportunity. YNTELRADAR surfaces the engineering subcontracts posted on SBA SubNet and the prime awards where design teaming happens — under NAICS 541330 and 541370 — and then takes you the rest of the way: scored against your firm, the route and permitting scope read out of the documents, what the government actually paid on comparable engineering awards, your capability statement and proposal drafted, and every step tracked until the award. How it works

1

Tell us your trade

What you actually do, your NAICS codes and the states you work in. Two minutes, once.

2

We find it and score it against you

Federal, state and local. Every new solicitation scored 0–100 against your business, with the reasons written out so you can check them.

3

We take you from found to won

We read the documents, show what the government actually paid on comparable awards, draft your proposal and walk you through every step to submit — tracked from Interested to Won.

Questions people in this trade ask

Why don't I see many direct fiber-design contracts?

Because there almost aren't any. We checked the live public corpus: standalone fiber DESIGN solicitations are close to zero. Agencies bundle design into the build, and the design engineering is handled by the prime's team. That's why we point you at subcontracts and teaming instead of promising a feed of direct design RFPs that doesn't exist.

So how does a fiber design firm actually win federal work?

Two paths. (1) Subcontracts — primes post the packages they need to sub out, and engineering/design is one of the first. We pull those from SBA SubNet (source: sba-subnet). (2) Teaming — when a prime wins a broadband or construction award, they need a design partner; getting in early, before the build kicks off, is how you land the design scope. We surface both.

What NAICS codes are involved?

541330 (Engineering Services) and 541370 (Surveying and Mapping). Those codes cover engineering broadly, so the code alone pulls in helicopters and buildings, not fiber. We read the solicitation and subcontract text so you get the fiber/OSP and broadband-engineering scopes, kept separate from generic A/E work.

Why is there no big number at the top of this page?

Because the honest one is tiny. The raw NAICS pool is nearly 600 open engineering and surveying solicitations, but almost none of them are fiber — they're helicopters, submarines and hospitals that share the code. We only count a contract here when the notice actually names fiber, outside plant or broadband work, and on most days that's a handful. We'd rather show you the honest path than inflate a number.

Everything you get

The whole cycle, on every contract

Finding the notice is the part everyone does — it is public. This is the rest of the job.

Federal, state and local

We are not a SAM.gov reader — SAM is one source of many. State portals, plus cities, counties, school districts and universities. The map shows exactly how deep we go in your state.

Scored against your business

Every notice gets 0–100 against your codes, your states and the work you actually do — with the reasons written out and checkable against the notice itself, not a number you have to trust.

The solicitation documents, read for you

We open the attachments and pull out the scope, what you need to qualify, the conditions and every date — including whether the pre-bid meeting is mandatory. And you can put a question to the documents.

Priced from what the government actually paid

Not what the notice asks for: the award history under the same code, with real amounts, so your number starts from evidence instead of a guess.

Who won

The companies that won comparable contracts under the same code, with the agency, the amount and the date. Where a code has no history on file we say so, instead of showing zeros.

Recompetes

Multi-year contracts coming up for renewal, spotted well before the notice is published — the work starts long before the solicitation does.

Teaming

Partner matching for the work you can't take on alone — and only partners we actually hold a contact for.

The proposal, drafted

A proposal draft built from the solicitation and your profile, the compliance matrix, and the email to the contracting officer. You edit instead of starting from a blank page.

From found to won

The capture plan with its tasks, the deadlines on your calendar — exportable to .ics, which nobody else in this market does — and the bid followed through to its result.

Daily digest and instant alerts

A daily digest built around your profile, instant alerts on what can't wait, and a warning when a deadline moves. The product chases you, not the other way round.

In English and in Spanish

The whole product in English and Spanish — the feed, the emails, the PDFs and everything the AI writes. Not a translated home page.

Every tool in this market covers a slice of that list, and some cover their slice very well. Nobody else covers the whole cycle — that is what we built.
